Invest Nicaragua is thrilled to welcome their new agent, Christina Alty! Christina will join Invest Nicaragua as a “South of Town” specialist, helping others looking for a little more space and a little more nature south of San Juan Del Sur.

Christina has been a full-time Nicaraguan resident since early 2020 but has enjoyed all that San Juan Del Sur offers since her first vacation here in 2013.

She never thought a surf trip to Nicaragua more than seven years ago would lead to such great love. The first trip sparked a passion and desire to find a place in Nicaragua that she and her husband could call theirs. After several years of searching for something to buy, they settled on a lot 25 minutes south of the town of San Juan Del Sur that offered everything they were looking for.

They bought land in 2017 and began designing and building their dream home. The process was not nearly as easy as HGTV makes it out, but Christina said she would not trade the opportunity and knowledge she gained for anything.

In a previous life in the United States, Christina worked as a realtor in Dallas, Texas. After settling into life in Nicaragua, selling real estate seemed like a natural transition for her. It was a career she was and still is deeply passionate about.

Christina loves to talk to people and never meets strangers, which is her favorite part about real estate.

“I have the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, listen to their stories, and help them find a place to call their own,” she said. “I am thrilled that I can continue my real estate career here in Nicaragua and excited to be backed by the knowledgeable team at Invest Nicaragua.”

She feels like her first-hand experience will be invaluable to her clients. She, too, was once on vacation here and has been through the process of buying, building a home, and relocating here.

“I think Nicaragua and San Juan Del Sur are incredible in terms of not only ROI on investment but also in being a wonderful place to raise a family and live,” Christina said. “There is so much momentum here right now, and as more people realize they can do their jobs online, they will be looking for an alternative place with a slower pace to call home.”

Christina, her husband Kyle, two kids, two dogs, and a cat call the community of Costa Dulce, south of town, their home. The quaint neighborhood speaks to her love of the great outdoors and comes with the soothing sounds of the oceans.

She can most likely be found on a beach somewhere when she is not in the office or helping clients make their real estate dreams come true.
